Hi Jack, we've been traveling lots, so haven't spent much time on my genealogy. Your story about how Capt. Wayne W. Cotton died sure doesn't gel with what the family says, including one still living in the area. Yes, he was in prison, but not Andersonville. Once he was traded, he was sent home to do more recruitment (his health was very, very deteriorated), and can't remember if it was his first or second trip back to Scott County to do so, but he succumbed to his health problems and died at home. This is pretty much verified. Let me know if you have evidence otherwise.
