I updated the website today.

1. Corrections, updates, and additions
* Corrected Jeremiah Angel link on death records page. The
link indicated a death certificate but showed his
headstone. The link now correctly indicates a headstone
2. Scott Co, Cemeteries
* Eliminated old cemeteries index page
* Added new cemetery database
* 430 known cemeteries -- 90 are fully inventoried
* 28 known aliases for known cemeteries
* Maps show the location for each cemetery (where I have
GPS coordinates)
3. Scott Co, Death Records
* Added 9242 burial records (total is now 9242)
* Added 50 obituaries to database (total is now 2527)
4. Scott Co, TN FNB Chronicles
* Added the Winter 2007, Vol 18, No 2 issue to the index
o Added A Century of Learning: Robbins School --
1906 - 2006
o Added Helenwood First Baptist Church Observes
100th Anniversary

Loading up the cemeteries was a colossal task. I spent over a week
finding each of the 430 cemeteries on a street map. The hard part was
cross-referencing the Scott Co, TN 911 map with Google Maps and with
Microsoft's maps and entering that information in the database. I then
spent 2 weeks reformatting all the old cemetery inventories for use in
the new database. I then added a couple of new cemeteries.

I also worked out some bugs in the software and will continue to do so
as I learn better ways to do things.

I hope you like the new cemetery database. I think it is really cool.
Couple it with the death records query screen and you will see
connections that were really difficult to find in the past. Have fun.
