I am looking for any information regarding my great-great-grandfather Thomas John Jones who lived in McCreary County in the 1800's. He was born around 1824 possibly in Orange County, Virginia. He may have served in the NAVY during the civil war. When he moved to McCreary County, he had a son John Jones who is buried in the King Cemetery. John Jones married a Cecelia Elisabeth Stephens (1873-1934) and they had a son Dewey Jones. Dewey married Crecy Ryan, my grandparents, and they are buried in the Jones Cemetery. Dewey died in an accident in Whorley Mine. Any information about Thomas John Jones and his ancestors will be much appreciated.
