I'm looking for any documentation on the death of William "Billy" Kidd. Supposedly, he was killed by two of his sons who hit him in the head with a pick while he was removing stones from a field. This would have happened around 1900 in what is now McCreary County, KY.
He is supposed to be buried at the Kidd cemetary near the Hemlock Grove Picnic area on Rock Creek in McCreary County.
Any newspaper articles, court records, or any official documents pertaining to this would be greatly appreciated.
What I have so far is just family stories.
