BOYER, Lyda Katherine Hale, 93, died Monday, July 23, 2007 at Harrison
Memorial Hospital in Cynthiana, KY. A native of London, KY, she was the
daughter of the late Margaret Ellen Evans and Robert Elmer Hale. Wife of
the former Corneilius Von Boyer, Mrs. Boyer was a retired elementary
school teacher. The bulk of her teaching career was in the J.R. Ewan
Elementary School in Lexington. She and her husband had been long time
members of the Immanuel Baptist Church which, through its television
ministry and outreach, continued to sustain her long after she was
unable to physically attend services. Survivors include her sons, Neil
(Emily) of Saco, Maine, and Frank (Melinda) of Cynthiana, KY; five
grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. Burial was on July 28 at the
Southard Cemetery in London, KY. Memorial contributions are suggested to
Immanuel Baptist Church, 3100 Tates Creek Road, Lexington, KY 40503.
