My grandfather, Louis Rutherford Murphy, b. 4 Jul 1890 Jelico Creek Kentuck D.dec 1970 Lakeland Florida, is listed in the 1900 census in Whitley Co. Kentucky.Cinda Galimore (his mother) is head of household and says she's a farmer and "Widowed". Louis's SS application listed his father as Martin Murphy. I can find nothing on Martin (It could be Jessie Martin Murphy) I would appreciate any information on who this person could be and what happened to him. Cinda lists as widow in 1900, and Andrew(Louis's brother) is 7 years old, so I assume he was alive atleast til the year Andrew was born. I can be reached at . Appreciate any help.
