When did this happen? I know that when my Grandfather (Bertha's husband) died in 1944 the family had a store and a little bit of money but within a couple of years Bertha had lost everything. As a result, my dad and the younger sibblings grew up in poverty. This is the first I have heard of her donating land for anything. The family always told a much different story.
