Surnames: Ramsey Hood
Looking for info on Richard Ramsey and Elizabeth Stumper.
Their son Was William Ramsey and He married Margaret Mason.
Their Daughter is Malitha Ramsey (Born 1818 in Burke Co.) who married a Crisp in Macon County. They moved to Cherokee County. I got this info from the LDS wb site. I believe my 4th great grandmother is Malitha's twin sister. Her name was Delitha Telifa Ramsey b. 1818 in Burke Co. Father William Ramsey of Burke. Delitha married Jacob Hood in Burke. Burke County has no records due to fire in the Civil War. anyone with any info please email me. Thanks!

Update: Confirmed Malietha and Delitha Ramsey are twins and the daughters of William Ramsey and Margaret Mason they were born June 1, 1818 Burke, NC. William Ramsey's father was Richard Ramsey b. 1749 Burke, NC. wife was Elizabeth Sumpter b. 1753 Burke, NC

I have been researching the Ramsey families of Wayne Co., Ky. for more than ten years now and have not been able to identify the relationship between these two families (John Ramsey Sr., b. 1777 VA. and Richard Ramsey, b. 1754 VA.) It is very possible that once the relationship between these two families is revealed, it will also reveal the names of one or both of their parents. The WILLIAM RAMSEY mentioned above is the oldest son of Richard Ramsey. John Ramsey also names his oldest son WILLIAM. I am trying to find a male descendant of this William Ramsey, or any male descendant of Richard Ramsey who might be willing to participate in the Ramsey DNA Project. This will once and for all reveal the answers to the Wayne Co. Ramsey's and also link these families to their parents. Can you help me in any way to find a male descendant that I might communicate with ? A sincere thank you is extended.
