Well, after having been to Frankfort and Higginbotham Cemetery yesterday I'm afaid to report that unless anyone has any relatives that may remember family history, Ebenezer's lineage may never be known. (I did see an old census record on here, though, that indicated that Ebenezer came from VA and not NC.) Anyway, it appears that if Ebenezer died between 1861-1878 that there will not be any records. In fact, no records were kept anywhere in KY (according to the KDLA man in Frankfort) from the beginning of the Civil War up until 1878 because too much was going on and virtually no births, deaths, or marriages were recorded anywhere in the state.
There were many old worn-down unreadable grave stones in the middle of Higginbotham Cemetery near O.B. Perry's gravesite that could possibly mark Ebenezer's grave but who knows. Many of the stones look as though they are newer and have replaced the originals considering the death dates on them. But, I did find Lula Barnes Perry's dates: 7/27/1892-2/14/1964.
Also, I am somewhat confused by Pearl May Perry: 9/22/1887-10/3/1942 and Pearlie May Perry: 10/10/1923-2/15/1926. The posts on here reference Pearlie May, but the gravestone I found showed this to belong to a child.
--- Does anyone have any dates on Amanda Elizabeth Smith? I did not see a grave marker for her. Only for Lula. Also, did she die early for O.B. to have married again?
---Jenny
