Pauline “Granny” Neace, age 73, of Hamilton, passed away at Miami Valley Hospital, on Monday, December 22, 2003, at 12:05 a.m. She was born in Perry County, Ohio, on June 2, 1930, the daughter of George and Nannie (Wooton) Feltner. Pauline was employed as a Nurse’s Aide at Mercy Hospital of Hamilton for twenty-five years, retiring in 1992. In 1948, in Hazard, Kentucky, she married Beecher Neace who preceded her in death in 1986.
She is survived by two sons, Garland Neace of Dayton and Marvin Neace of Hamilton; three daughters, Eunice Suttles and her husband Jesse of Hamilton, Sharon Bush of St. Petersburg, Florida and Marlena Gentry of Hamilton; three brothers, Shafter Feltner and his wife Faye, Hershell Feltner and his wife Evangeline and Orville Feltner and his wife Cynthia, all of Hamilton; two sisters, Eula Cody and her husband Tom of Dayton and Lily Neace and her husband Hetch of Massillon, Ohio; eleven grandchildren; and nineteen great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and grandson, Billy Sean Neace.
Funeral service will be held at the Brown Dawson Funeral Home, 1350 Millville Avenue, on Saturday, December 27, 2003, at 10:00 a.m. with Rev. James Haney, Pastor of Four Square Pentecostal Church, officiating. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Burial Park. Visitation will be held Friday from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
