Dear Scott Listers,

Sometime around 1796, James Francis Drake moved to Scott Co., near
Georgetown. His second wife was Winney____, by whom he had a daugher,
Mary (Polly) Drake, who married Isaac Foster.
James had a previous wife, named, I believe, Anne Nancy Bruce, whom
he married about 1767 in Culpeper Co., VA. She died after delivering
two children: Thomas Drake and Betsy Bruce Drake. Thomas stayed in
Scott, while Betsy Bruce married Lewis Vallandingham, and about 1829,
moved to Owen Co.
Family papers show that James Francis Drake was an infant when he
arrived from England in 1750 with his father, John Drake. They moved
around in VA for many years before James moved to Scott Co.

Someone on the List might be able to add to these facts or might be able
to use them. I am hoping for an addition, though.
