Dear Listers and Jo:

The James Drake will you show, dated 1808, seems to be my James Francis
Drake. His first wife was probably Anne Bruce and they had Thomas and
Betsy, but she died 1775 and he remarried to a Winney___. JFD and
Winney had Polly, who married Isaac Foster. Thomas married in Orange
Co., VA, Racheal Peak.

Thomas died in 1818, and also left a will.

I do not have much of JFD's will in 1818, only a fragment, which names a
wife and children (Betsy, by then, was named Vallandingham). Thomas
also named Winney and Rachel, I think.

If you have much of their wills I would love to see them.

And I believe you are right about Rachael Peak's father, John. Someone
on the Peak forum traced the family back a ways for me.
