I think Bourbon Furnace was the popular name for the Bourbon Iron Works Co.
iron foundry that was established in 1791 on Slate Creek in present-day Bath
County, Kentucky. Iron Works road in Scott, Fayette and Clark counties is a
portion of the old road to the furnace.
