Recently I saw a question from someone wanting to know more re: Orphan Train
Riders. While in my local library this past week, I noticed 2 books on this
subject. ORPHAN TRAIN RIDER'S STORIES is a 3-volume set of books published by
Gateway Press of Baltimore, Md. Each book looked to be 2" thick. The stories
cover the time period between 1859-1930. The second was a paperback book:
TEARS ON PAPER ORPHAN TRAIN HISTORY written by Patricia J. Young and
Frances E. Marks. The stories cover the same time period and from glancing
inside, it looked like some of the same stories. Hope this helps those doing
research in this area.
