In VA. land grants for services rendered to the King in French & Indian war
and for services rendered to continental line (3 year minimum), were in GA,
SC, and what would become KY and Tn, but were then mostly VA. It was the
main cause of migration of many of parts of my lines. Mine tended to stay,
selling thier bounty lands to others or bequeathing them to their children.
Many of my old wills mention land in Ky or Ga to be sold and the money
divided, as early as 1782 (from French & Indian war bounty).
