I hope I don't get in trouble for this post, but I spent a summer in Maine and a lot of that
time was spent in the library----yes, people had a settlement in Maine before the Mayflower.
For the life of me I can't remember the name of it, but they helped out the people having such
a hard time further down. In fact, the settlement didn't like the place so they built their
own ship and went home!! Anyone interested can find it even on the maps of Maine. Please
don't flame me!!!!
