Scot Cockerline, age 56, passed away recently at home surrounded by
his family, after a period of declining health.

Scot received his education in the Westford School District and was a
graduate of Nashoba Technical High School. As a crane operator, Scot
was a proud member of Local 4, Operating Engineers for meny years. In
his leisure time, Scot loved spending time with his son,
daughter-in-law, grandchildren, extended family and friends, as well
as riding his Harley.

SOUTH YARMOUTH -- Arthur John Patrick Cooney, 88, entered into eternal
rest on Tuesday, Jan. 19, 2010.

Born in Keighley, Yorkshire, England, son of the late Wilfred and
Catherine (Goulden) Cooney, he came to the United States as an infant.
He lived in the Forge Village section of Westford for over fifteen
years. He also lived in Lowell before moving to Yarmouth many years
ago. He was a graduate of Westford Academy in Westford MA and attended
the former Lowell Technological Institute. Arthur worked for the
United States Postal Service as a letter carrier for fifteen years
before his retirement. He was a World War II Army Air Corp veteran,
where he received the Good Conduct Medal and the Asiatic Pacific
Theatre Campaign Ribbon. He also received the Certificate of
Commendable Service from the Alaskan Division of the United States
Army Air Corp. He was a member of the St. Pius X Church in South
Yarmouth where he sang in the church choir.

He leaves his wife of sixty-four years, Rose A. (Ryan) Cooney, a
daughter and her husband, Kathleen and Robert Staron of West
Springfield, a brother, Wilfred Cooney of Clinton MA, two
grandchildren, Robert Michael and his wife Katherine Staron of
Yorktown VA, Elizabeth K. Staron of Arlington MA, and a
great-granddaughter, Sophia Rose Staron of Yorktown VA along with many
nieces, nephews and cousins.

Evangelist Church, 823 Main Street, Agawam, MA with burial on Friday
at 9 A.M. at the Massachusetts Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 1390 Main

DOYLE, Russell Paul Jr

Russell Paul Doyle, Jr., 51, of Nashua, NH, and formerly of Westford,
died Tuesday, Dec-ember 29th, at his home.

Born in Lowell, February 4, 1958, the son of the late Russell P. and
the late Ruth E. (Dwyer) Doyle, he attended Westford Academy in
Westford, and completed high school with a GED.

He then went on to earn an Associate's Degree in Criminal Justice at
Northern Essex Community College in Haverhill, MA.

Most recently, he was taking courses in wastewater treatment -
industrial and municipal, at U/Mass Lowell.

Russell was previously employed by JapEnamLac in Chelmsford, as a
Wastewater Treatment Operator.

Mr. Doyle is survived by a daughter, Sarah E. Doyle of Westford; a
son, Adam J. Doyle of Manchester, NH; a sister, P. Jill Doyle and her
partner, James L. Grass of Nashua, NH; a brother, Edward T. Doyle and
his wife, Kathryn of North Chelmsford; three aunts, Marjorie Chulak
and her husband, Albert of Shelton, CT, Claire McDermott of Dracut,
and Justine Reed and her husband, John C. of Oldsmare, FL; three
uncles, John Dwyer of Lowell, John Doyle of St. Louis, MO, and Edward
Doyle and his wife, Eleanor of Mountain View, CA; and several nieces,
nephews, and cousins.

CHELMSFORD -- Judith (Basner) Francisco, 57, a resident of Chelmsford,
and former longtime Westford resident died, January 18th, 2010.

She was born in Fort Smith, AK, a daughter of the late Willard Basner
and Edith (Hartwig) Basner. She was very involved in cub scouts as a
den mother with Den 1, Pack 100. She was also active in several local
civic projects. In her spare time, she enjoyed cooking and gardening.
Mrs. Francisco was a second mother to all of Brian and Valerie's

She is survived by her husband, Michael Francisco of Florida; her two
children, Brian Francisco and Valerie Francisco, both of Westford, MA;
a brother, Ralph Basner of Palmer, Alaska; several nieces, nephews,
and In-laws.

GREEN, William "Kenny"

William (Kenny) Green, 65, of Casselberry Florida formerly of Weare NH
and Westford MA passed away on Tuesday December 22nd at his home in
Florida after a brief illness. Kenny was born March 11, 1944 in
Westford, son of the late Edwin (Teddy) and Margaret Green.

He was educated in the Westford school system. Kenny was a heavy
equipment operator, he worked for HE Fletcher Quarry in Westford for
many years. He also worked at Brox Paving Company in Dracut where he
retired from before moving to Florida in August of this year. He was
married to Florence (Cobleigh) Green.

Kenny was a member of the Stony Brook Fish and Game Club of Westford.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing, Nascar Racing, riding his four-wheeler
and spending time with his family.

He is survived by four children, a son Timothy Green and his wife
Terri of Keene NH, his daughters, Melissa McGeeney and her husband
Paul of Westford, Shannon Smith and her husband John of Tyngsboro, and
Kimberly Green and her companion Donté Okowuga of Merrimack NH, a
step-son Randy Cobleigh and his wife Veronica of Manchester NH. He is
also survived by two sisters, Margaret (Rose) Clermont and her husband
Robert of Tyngsboro, and Barbara Green of Acton, He treasured his nine
grandchildren, Jessica Green, Tyler Smith, Toni Green, Valerie
Gonsalves, Madyson McGeeney, Tess Green, Jared McGeeney, Kaiden
Okowuga, and Lia Cobleigh.

He was the brother of the late Arthur Green and grandfather of the
late Tiffany and Tori Green. Also, by several nieces, nephews and
close friends.

He will be missed by all that knew him.

There will be no visiting hours. A memorial service will be held at
the HEALY FUNERAL HOME, 57 North Main Street, WESTFORD, MA on January
9th at 11:00 A.M.

WESTFORD -- Joan (Saraceno) Hayward, 75, a longtime resident of
Westford, died January 13, 2010, after a short battle with cancer.

She was the devoted wife of Floyd (Bud) Hayward Jr., and the mother of
the late Kevin R. Hayward. In two weeks, Bud and Joan would have
celebrated their 55th wedding anniversary.

Joan was born on Sept 26, 1934, in Cambridge, MA, daughter of the late
Richard and Mildred Saraceno.

Mrs. Hayward is survived by three daughters, Karen Shry and her
husband, Jim of Cortez Colorado, Debra Warwick of Pepperell, Kelley
Holston and her husband, Mike of Westford; a sister and
brother-in-law, Gloria and Ralph Powers of Venice, FL; and many nieces
and nephews.

She also leaves four grandchildren. Greg Prescott, Mike Prescott,
Kevin Holston, and Lyndsey Holston; and one great-grandson, Jonathan

HAYWARD -- A private funeral service was held at Healy Funeral Home on

WESTFORD -- Lola A. (Tousignant) Kulikowski, 72, beloved wife of the
late Leonard L. Kulikowski, of Westford, died Jan. 17, 2010 in
Westford, surrounded by her loving family.

She was born Feb. 21, 1937, a daughter of the late Zoel Tousignant and
Winifred (Green) Tousignant.

Lola enjoyed cooking, shopping, and taking care of the house, and
especially enjoyed spending time with her family. She was also fond of
her dog Tyler.

She is survived by her daughter, Joyce Hand and her husband, Robert of
Chelmsford; two sons, Leonard Kulikowski and his wife, Elizabeth of
Merrimack, N.H., Michael Kulikowski and his dear friend, Rosemarie
Amaru of Nashua, N.H.; three grandchildren, Kara (Hand) Frink and her
husband, Ryan of Chelmsford, Elizabeth Kulikowski and Michael
Kulikowski, both of Merrimack, N.H.; three sisters-in-law, Dorothy
Buban and her husband, Elmer of PA, Florence Guzynski of OH, and Donna
Kiste and her husband, Roger of CA; two brothers-in-law, Norm
Kulikowski and his wife, Dolores of PA, Thomas Kulikowski and his
wife, Dorothy of PA; two cousins, Kenneth Dubey of Brockton, and Karen

January 11, 2010 at the University of Massachusetts Medical Center in

She was married to Mr. Frederick "Rick" Leduc with whom she celebrated
their 21st wedding anniversary on November 5, 2009.

Karen was born in Lowell, MA on May 19, 1966; she was the daughter of
Rose (Ferron) Hossler of Davenport, FL. and the late Paul Mann who
died July 11, 2003.

Karen grew up in Pelham, NH and graduated from Pelham High School with
the Class of 1984.

She has lived in Westford for the past nineteen years, and was
employed at Valley Green Landscaping of Westford.

Karen enjoyed shopping, fashions and spending time with her friends.

Besides her mother and stepfather, Timothy Hossler, She is survived by
three sons, Joshua Leduc of
Westford, Jared Leduc, a Senior at Westford Academy and Justyn Leduc,
a Sophomore at Westford Academy, two brothers, John and his wife Leah
Mann of Derry, NH and Karl D. Mann and his fianceé, Karen McDonough of
Mason, NH; two nieces, Kaydee Mann of Mason, NH and Jessica Mann of
Hudson, NH. She is also survived by her uncle, David Ferron of
Gulfport, FL as well as many close friends.

MAJEWSKI, Carol Ann (Dall)

Carol Ann (Dall) Majewski, 74, formerly of Westford, passed away
January 3, 2010, after a courageous 23-year battle with Parkinson's

She was the beloved wife of the late Ted Majewski, who passed away
August 17, 2009.

Carol was born April 28, 1935 in Worcester Massachusetts, the daughter
of Mary A. (MacDonald) and Jensenius S. Dall. She resided in
Shrewsbury Massachusetts until her marriage. Carol graduated from St.
Peter's High School in 1953, and continued her education at Becker
Junior College in Worcester, receiving an Associates Degree in Medical
Secretarial in 1955. She was employed by Dr. Oscar Feinsilver, as a
medical secretary until 1965.

Carol was a popular girl with many friends, including her dearest and
lifelong friends, Ann (Joudrey) Wilcox, Nancy (Reynolds) Valentine and
Diane (Weagle) Newton. Growing up, she enjoyed going to stock car
races with her father, bowling, and horseback riding. She was a
beautiful piano player and loved going to classical music concerts. As
a young woman, skiing at Mount Snow in Vermont and dancing were some
of her favorite pastimes. Carol and her friend Ann traveled

Carol met her beloved "diamond in the rough", Ted, while dancing at
the SAC Park in Worcester. They married October 10, 1964, making their
first home in Marlborough and moving to Westford, Massachusetts in
1965. Carol and Ted raised three daughters, who kept them quite busy
and on their feet. As a family, they enjoyed skiing and hiking, as
well as camping at Walnut Grove Campground in Alfred Maine and later
Apple Valley Campground in Acton Maine. Later in life, Carol and Ted
fulfilled a lifelong dream of traveling to Denmark to visit relatives.

Carol was employed for many years by the Westford Public Schools, as a
kindergarten aide, a job she adored in addition to being a mother.
After being diagnosed with Parkinson's disease, she continued to do
the things she loved and faced the disease with a truly positive and
brave attitude. None of this could have been possible without the love
and support of her wonderful husband and children. After entering the
Life Care Center in Littleton Massachusetts in 2005, she and Ted
continued to enjoy life, making many day trips together all over New
England and spending time with family and friends.

Carol was one of the most patient, kind and dignified individuals that
anyone could have ever known, and her loss is shattering to us all.
Admired as a wife, mother, grandmother and friend, she is fondly
remembered for her warmth and kindness to everyone.

Carol is survived by her daughters and a grandchild, Christine
Sullivan and her husband Michael and their son Tyler of Temple NH,
Anmarie Hagg and her husband Cletus of San Quirino, Italy; Cynthia
Ryder and her husband Warren of Shirley MA. She is predeceased by her
husband of 44 years, Ted. She is also survived by many loving
sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, nieces and nephews. A special
thank you to the Life Care Center of Nashoba Valley for their
compassion, caregiving and kindness.

Mrs. Barbara K. (Young) Marcouillier, of Westford, MA, died late
Wednesday night, January 6, 2010, at Lowell General Hospital in
Lowell, MA, after a long illness.

She was married to Mr. Leonell Marcouillier with whom she would have
celebrated their 59th wedding anniversary on May 5, 2010.

Born in Lowell, MA, on November 26, 1931, the daughter of the late
Wallace and Catherine (Monahan) Young. She was a graduate of Westford
Academy with the class of 1949.

Barbara retired in 1989 from Digital Computers of Maynard, MA.

She was a communicant of St. Catherine Church of Westford, MA.

She was a member of the Chelmsford Senior Citizens.

Barbara loved to travel to Canada and Florida, especially Disney World.

Besides her husband she is survived by a daughter, Betsy and her
husband, Daniel Valley of Westford, MA; four sisters-in-law, Rita and
her husband, James Whigham of Nashua, NH, Rose Marcouillier of
Westford, MA, Ann Viellette of Moorhead City, NC, and Rosalie Young of
Groton, MA; a brother-in-law, Larry Marcouillier of Harrington, DE;
and a grandson, Damian Valley of Westford, MA. Barbara was also
survived by many nieces and nephews; as well as several close friends.

Barbara's brother, Dwight Young of Groton, MA, died on the same day as

HAMPTON, NH -- Mr. John M. Mulligan, 77, beloved husband of Grace
(Pappalardo) Mulligan, died Friday morning, January 29, 2010, at his

Born in Lowell, he was the son of the late James and Lenore (Caron) Mulligan.

He was raised and educated in Westford, MA, and was a graduate of
Westford Academy.

An honorably discharged veteran, he served his country during the
Korean Conflict as a member of the United States Navy.

Mr. Mulligan had been employed for over 30 years as a welder for the
Portsmouth Naval Shipyard in Portsmouth, NH until the time of his
retirement in 1993.

A resident of the Town of Hampton, New Hampshire for the past 23
years, he was a parishioner of Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal in
Hampton, NH, and a member of the Knights of Columbus. He was a loving
husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and brother who will
be missed by all who knew him.

In addition to his wife, with whom he shared 55 years of marriage, he
is survived by three daughters, Ellen Groves and her husband, Michael
of Hampton, NH, Mary Durkin and her husband, Brian of Lawrence, and

WESTFORD -- Robert Newton, 97, of Westford, beloved husband of the
late Ruth (Taylor) Newton, died January 6, 2010, in Lowell.

He was born in Keighley, England April 21, 1912, a son of the late
William Newton and the late Alice (Bradwell) Newton. Prior to his
retirement, he was a technician at Raytheon. Mr. Newton was a Third
Degree and 32nd Degree Mason and past Master affiliated with the
Tahattawan Lodge in Littleton. He enjoyed all card games, and ran the
Bowling League at the Cameron Senior Center in Westford.

He is survived by a daughter, Doris Lindsay of Nashua, NH; his
brother, Norman Newton; eight grand-children, Kim Daniels, Jim
Sullivan, Steven Sullivan, Paul Sullivan, Christopher Lindsay,
Jennifer Callahan, Brian Newton, Rebecca Wilhite; and 17
great-grandchildren. He was the father of David Newton and Brenda
(Newton) Sullivan, who pre-deceased him.

Richard enjoyed spending time with family, and reading and playing
darts. He also loved the outdoors, especially camping and fishing.

Besides his former wife, Florence Geradi of Westford, MA and mother,
he is survived by two sons and a daughter-in-law, Christopher and
Sarah Nichols of Bristow, VA, Anthony Nichols of Westford; a sister
and brother-in-law, Donna L. and Montgomery Grimes of Marshall
Islands; three cherished grandchildren, Laila, Cameron and Olivia
Nichols; as well as many nieces, nephews; and several close friends.

He was the brother of the late Robert T. Nichols of Dunstable who died

Dwight Francis Young, 75, of Groton, beloved husband of Rosalie
(Chipman) Young, died January 6, 2010.

He was born in Ayer, September 28, 1934, a son of the late Wallace
Young and Catherine (Monahan) Young, but made his home in Westford for
many years before moving to Groton.

He attended Westford Academy High School.

Mr. Young was honorably discharged as a Corporal
after serving in the U.S. Marines during the Korean Conflict.

Prior to his retirement, he was owner and operator of Groton Screw
Machine for the past 40 years.

In his leisure time, Mr. Young enjoyed spending time fishing, and
especially spending time with his grand-children.

Besides his wife, Rosalie he is survived by three sons, Jaime Young
and his wife, Holly of Plant City, FL, Randy Young and his wife,

MA; seven grandchildren, Katy, Nicholas, Hannah, Noah, Grace, Zachary,
and Brady; and two great-grandchildren, Michael and Angeleigh; a
brother-in-law, Leonell Marcouillier of Westford.

He was the brother of the late Barbara (Young) Marcouillier who died
the same day.

YOUNG -- There will be no visiting hours. His funeral services will be
private. Memorial contributions may be made in his name to the , 30
Speen St., Framingham, MA 01701.
