Good morning.......

I am new to this list and by way of introduction am Carole Elizabeth Mallett
(nee Richardson) and live in the depths of rural Suffolk with my husband
John.
My great-great-grandmother Mary Grant was the elder sister of above James.

James (1825-1885) son of John Farquharson/Sarah Gordon, married Helen Grant
(1836-1877) daughter of Robert Grant/Elizabeth Forbes in 1861 @ Auchbreck.
Their subsequent children, all born @ Bogarrow, were :

Robert Grant (1862) + Sarah Gordon (1864) + Elizabeth Forbes (1865) + Helen
Ann (1867-1892) + Mary Jane (1870) + John Charles (1870) + Francis Lumsden
(1872) + James Patrick (1874) + Pennel Innes (1876).

Have found James and family in all census till his death in 1885, wheupon
his son Robert took over the farm and married Isabella Munro in 1889 @
Abelour.
Daughter, Sarah married Alexander McGrimmon in 1891.
Helen Ann died young and I think John Charles went to Victoria, Australia in
1890 but really have no idea of what happened to the rest of the siblings
after their parents died.

Also, the name of their last child......all the others were family names,
but Pennel/Penuel Innes.....intriguing.
