Hi,

I am looking for information on my grandfather Oscar Henry POTEET. I recieved
his Death Cert in the mail and only North Carolina was mentioned, no town. He
married Lennie Estelle MCCURRY around 1925 or 26, I believed that is what I
narrowed it down to. Anyone have the MCDOWELL Heritage book in thier position
to check on surname MCCURRY. I believe that the librarian said that there were
17 mentions of MCCURRYs in that book, but there are no more copies.
If anyone has the book would you mind looking up the MCCURRYs and see if there
is any mention of a family named MCCURRY who owned a stocking mill in the
early 1900's. I have been having a hard time trying to locate other family
members on my line.

Anyone have any POTEETs and MCCURRYs in there line? I believe the brothers
were named Robert MArion Lawrence sisters - Mammie and Betty. The names could
be wrong, my mom wasn't sure of all there names, but she remebers aunts and
uncles that were mentioned. Sorry long winded, but I haven't had much luck so
far.
Desp seeking my Ancestors of MCCURRY in (MArion) area Probably were in the
Mcdowell area around 1900's

Thanks Estelle
