I track NC Sullivans until abt 1830-4. If the lady has 1 earlier generation
I might be able to help. Assuming Samuel was named after a father or
grandfather she should first look in Guilford and Lincoln Cos. Another
possibility would be Duplin Co. The names James, John, Daniel and Nancy all
follow the Duplin pattern. However the Russell and Harrison are repeated in
Johnston Co.

I will post the info on Sullivan-L and see if there is a response.

A lady next door to me ask if I could help her to find some information as to
where her family came from she believes Ireland. She would like ant additional
information that any one would have. She will share her marriage and afmily if
needed. Her sister gave her the below most of which is from old notes. This
Lady is almost 80 years of age and remembers that the Sullivans settled in
Montgomery Co., NC. Thanks.

Samuel1 Sullivan was born 1805, and died 1882. He married Mary Henry. Samuel
and Mary had a least five children who died in infancy.

Children of Samuel Sullivan and Mary Henry are:
i.James Henry2 Sullivan, born 1833; died 1896.
ii.John Russell Sullivan, born 1835; died 1854.
iii.Nancy Dorne Sullivan, born 1838; died 1856.
iv.Daniel Harrison Sullivan, born 1840; died Bet. 1860 - 1869 in Confederate
