First off I would like to express my appreciation to Alice for posting
the census data, as this represents a considerable effort on her part
and to unselfishly share this information with the mailing list is to be
commended.

Now how do you use this data?? I have been using the “copy/paste”
feature of the Macintosh operating system to copy the census data
messages from my Netscape Navigator to a Word Perfect file, Alice I can
only hope that I have captured all of the messages. After I have
acquired all of the census messages, I will change the delimiters to
something that will work in either a spread sheet or a database, usually
a tab or comma. Then import the file into either one or both of those
applications. The data can then be sorted into any form you wish or
searched for names or other search parameters. As an aside, I have some
spread sheets, made several years ago that contain the census data for
some of my family names from 1800 to 1900 and you can put the families
together on one group of lines (rows) with the year as a column, so that
you can see the growth of the family and see when the children moved out
to start life on their own. This technique was useful in finding the
parents of my great grand father.

Again, Alice THANK YOU!!!
Also Alice would you be inclined to send the entire set of data to
someone via an attachment to email to their private email address???
Harold
