UPCOMING MEETING PROGRAM - 7:15 p.m. Tuesday, August
12, 2003
Land Transfers in New Territories - Pre-emptions and
Cash Entries, Military Bounty Land Warrants, Homestead
Act, Land Grant College Act, Pacific RR Acts, School
Lands, etc. Several very interesting aspects of land
history involve Lancaster County but the presentation
will broaden the view to include states to the west of
the original colonies which should be useful to all
genealogists. Presenter: Russell Lang

Members prepare for a short talk or description of
your project and/or display. Examples: What have you
done to commemorate your family? Published a family
history book? Commissioned a family tree or banner?
Submitted genealogy to a society, LDS, database,
repository, etc.? Created a photo album, scrapbook,
wall display or other use of photos? Organized or
attended a family reunion? Started or participated in
a family newsletter? Participated in a family
tradition? Contributed to or created a family quilt?
Created or joined a Family Tree DNA Surname Project? A
family genealogy website?

Please let the Program Chairman Dewaine Alcorn know by
the August 12 LLCGS meeting what you would like to
show or talk about and what you need for displaying
your project. (A table, easel, overhead projector,
etc.) The plan is to let the member tell about their
project and then let the audience view the projects at
the rear of the auditorium while you answer questions.

Meetings are at 7:15 p.m. on the second Tuesday of
each month in the Amphitheater, Dick Administration
