Dear Mike,
Yes , there are many McShanes in South Armagh and one of them is Michael
MCShane, editor of " Creggan" Journal of the Creggan Local History Society.
He is also a founding member of the society. His address is 2 Ummericam Road,
Silverbridge, Newry, County Down, Northern Ireland, UK ( post office service
for his area is in County Down) His phone number is Crossmaglen: 861817 but
you have to add the prefix for UK, Northern Ireland, and Armagh. I believe he
is still the Treasurer of the Society. Back issues of the Journal may be
available a a reasonable cost from him.
I have a friend named Maureen McCann. Fitzpatrick( Mrs. Frank) 8917 Bronx
Ave. Skokie, Ill.60077-1908 her phone no is 847-676-3213. She will be able to
help you with the McShanes of South Armagh. Good luck!! Let me know how you make
out.
