Hi Lists, I was looking through some photo's that we took on
a trip to
Northern Ireland late1997, when I saw this one I thought
that I had better
put it on the lists as someone may be looking for the
families mentioned.
These are on plates on the fence of Christ Church in Lisburn.
Here are interred the body of Abraham Gillott who died the
8th July 1711 age
55 yrs, Ann, wife of Samuel Louis Crommelin who died 30th
August 1718 aged
30,Gillott, their son who died 2nd Dec 1715 aged 2 years,
Jane, their
daughter, who died 31st January 1718, aged 5 months,
Henriette, 2nd wife of
Samuel Louis Crommellin who died the 19th May 1739 aged 57
years, and
Easther, wife of James Crommellin, died 2nd September 1739
aged 41 years and
Samuel Louis Crommellin, died 2nd September 1713 aged 57
years, his daughter
Anne died 21st June 1751 aged 27 years, Henriette died
28th March 1752
aged 23 years. Magdeline died 18th April 1753 aged 25
years. 6 foot
opposite lies the body of Louis Crommellin born at St.
Quentin France, only
son to Louis Crommellin and Anne Crommellin, Director of the Linen
Manufactory, who died, beloved of all,aged 28 years, 1st
July 1711, also the
body of Mary Magdeline Berniere, wife of Captain Berniere,
only daughter of
Louis Crommellin, deceased, died 8th July 1715 aged 21
years, here also
lieth the remains of Louis Crommellin Senior, died 7th July
1727 aged 75
years, also the body of Anne the wife of Louis Crommellin
deceased died 17
the August 1755 aged 97 years. Here lieth the body of
Nicholas De Ka
Cherois, Major in the Lord Lifford's Regiment of Foot.
Deceased 13th June
1702 age 53 years, also the body of Nicholas De La Cherois,
his son, who
deceased 22 October 1708, aged 12 years, also the body of
Mary De La
Cherois, wife of Major De La Cherois, died 22 December 1724
aged 60 years.
All that and not one of them is mine. I suppose we cant all
get it too easy?
