Dear Sonya, Many thanks for your kind response. I seldom get one! I forget what I said yesterday but my ancestor, James Cain (Kane), son of James Cain and Anne Pyers, left Forkhill, co Armagh in the early 1860"s. He was an engineer and went to Ayr, scotland. In 1863 he married Janet Killen (Killeen) of Mauchline. As I recall, she was a 1st cousin 4 times removed of robt burns. James Cain was a mover and shaker. He easily could have sent some killeens to armagh for work. jas, kane (cain) eventually joined forces with A. Carnegie and became a founder of what became U.S.Steel. the mormon records are filled with info on the killens of ayrshire. Have fun!! Russ.
