(now a part of Brooklyn), when Joost was born in 1676.

1972, Zabriskie. "The Vigne family (name also spelled Vinje and
Vinge) apparently came to New Netherland on one of the two 1624
ships, despite many assertions to the contrary. Rachel, the
third daughter of Guilliam Vigne and Ariantje Cuvilje, was
baptized March 16, 1623 (New Style) in the Walloon Church at
Leyden. The Vigne family is generally believed to have stayed."

Roosevelt.
