Hi Mary,

You're in luck. The Apgar family genealogy (volume I) has a Joshua Apgar
(1790-1868) who married a Jane Bauman (1794-1864). They were married circa
1812. Joshua was the seventh child of Conrad Apgar (Jan 3, 1755-1839) and his
first wife Mary Farley (1753-1790) who was a daughter of Meindurt Farley and
Barbara Van Dieren. These dates suggest that Mary died at or shortly after
Joshua's birth. Conrad then had seven more children with his second wife,
Charity Sutton!

Conrad was the 10th child of the emigrator Johannes Peter Apgar (b1714) who
arrived in Philadelphia aboard the ship 'Hope' in September 1734. Conrad
first moved to Alexandria Township but then moved to Cokesbury to take over
the Tavern business run by his brother Adam. Anyway, the Apgar family
history has more information about Joshua and his kin that I can share if you
like.

Best regards,

Rick Novak, a descendent of Herbert, Jacob, and Peter Apgar, three of Conrad's
brothers.
