Anyone familiar with these TAYLORs?

Edward TAYLOR b 1760 in Hunterdon Co
Freegift TAYLOR b 1760 in Hunterdon Co
Capt John TAYLOR

Edward and Freegift were Rev War Vets, NJ Line; Edward stated he had
served part of the time under his brother, Capt John TAYLOR. After
the war, Edward and Freegift went on to live in Allegheny Co PA,
then moved into parts of OH.

My question is about the brother, John. Does anyone know if this is
the same John who was b bef 1747, d June 1800 in Allegheny/Beaver Co
PA, married Jane (aka Jean) unk, and had 5 children: John, Thomas,
Jennet (aka Jane), Elizabeth and Mary?

Also looking for sources about the NJ Line.
