Looking for info on WILLIAM DOUGLAS WEBB, born in New Hampton, New Jersey,
Hunterdon County (Lebanon Township) in 1818. He left at age 16 to work on what
may have been a clipper ship, and debarked several years later in Alabama,
where he eventually settled. The only thing I know about him is that his
mother may have been a "Blackhawk" Indian - but the story is that she came
from Canada, and to my knowledge, the Blackfeet are a Plains tribe. Does
anybody know how I can research WILLIAM DOUGLAS WEBB? Thanks. Please contact
