Looking for information of some Gordon family members in New Jersey in
the mid-late 1700's:

(1) Peter Gordon (abt. 1700 - 1770); son of Charles Gordon; Monmouth Co.
(from "Old Tennenth Church"); had several children by 2 wives, 2nd wife
Mary Craig. Had a son, Peter, born bef. 1745. Also had a son Lewis, bef
. 1756.

(2) Peter Gordon, living in Hunterdon Co. In the Rev. War was a Captain,
later a Brigade-Major, possibly a Colonel, and was Quartermaster in the
Trenton area. Had a farm in the Hopewell area of Hunterdon Co. Could be
the son of Peter (1) since the dates would line up well, but no direct
evidence.

(3) Lewis Gordon, b. 1761-63. Probably lived in Hunterdon Co. since he
married Kesiah Stout (1760 - 1842) of Hopewell (from "Pioneers of Old
Hopewell" and Stout family history). Moved to Mason Co. KY in 1780's,
died 1844 in that area. Some evidence that he was the son of Peter (1),
but location and chronology would work out better if he was the son of
Peter (2).

Any information on these people or relatives, or hints on another source
that I could check, would be appreciated. Thank you.

Doug Gordon
