If you're researching any of the following Hunterdon County families please
let me know. My grandfather, William Harle III, was always fond of saying his
family helped build this darn country, and I've found evidence of the Harles
going back to the 1700s in Hunterdon County (within its various boundaries).
I have tracked the Harles to their possible origin in Kirk Harle, Northern
England, which I visited in 1996. If you're researching any of these people,
I would love to know:

Researching descendents of James HARLE (b. 1803) and Lydia MARCELLUS Harle (b.
1812) of Hunterdon County. Their children are Henry (b. 4/15/1834, d.
5/4/1911); William (b. 1836); (Rev.) James (b. 7/15/1838 in Rocktown, NJ, d.
8/9/1916 in Trenton, NJ; married Elizabeth MCPECK 1/17/1863--b. 4/1/1839, d.
10/22/1911 in Flemington; both buried in humble, unmarked graves in Riverview
Cemetery, Trenton, NJ); Sarah (b. 1842); Harriet (b. 1844); Ann M. (b. 1846);
and Elias (b. 1849). Rev. James and Elizabeth had four children: George
William (b. 1/15/1865, d. 12/24/1937; married Rose ADAMS--b. 1864, d. 1945);
Frank (b. 3/1/1868); William (b. 9/11/1871, d. 7/22/1940; married Elizabeth
COOK 10/4/1891--b. 1/11/1876, d. 2/7/1920); and Lida (b. approx. 7/1875;
married George MAPLE of Pennington, NJ, 2/24/1897; one male child born
12/31/1897, delivered by Edgar Hart in Pennington, NJ); following the William
Harle line William and Elizabeth had five children: James Percy (b. 11/1894,
d. 6//5/1956; married Roseanne Emde--b. 1894, d. 1936); Irene (b. 9/16/1896,
d. 7/8/1971; married Howard Bothers and Ed Holcombe); Edith (married Harry
Schreline); William Jr. (b. 4/13 or 19/1896, d. 2/7/1937; married Laura FIELDS
1/12/1915); and Marvin Frank (b. 1/18/1910, d. 4/28/1988; married Donatella);
following the William Jr. line William Jr. and Laura had one child, William A.
III (b. 12/1/1915, d. 4/26/1977; married Elizabeth Dorothy "Mabel" WARNER
9/15/1934--b. 3/12/1926, d. 6/18/1990) (my maternal grandparents).
