Hi!
I am wanting to learn as much as possible about three people.
Michael Henry
Jean Robinson Henry
Col. James Henry (Revolution war - perhaps killed in one)
My husband and I were in Hunterdon Country, Three-Bridges in July. We
found where these three were once buried. Col. James Henrie's tombstone
has long been broken and at least the top part is long gone. Michael
Henry's large tombstone is facing downward in the brambles & dirt as
well as his wife "Jean". The Isaac Rowe tombstone is facing upward but
also laying in the brambles and dirt. There were others also buried in
this little cemetary that is now laying down with an indention showing
where Michael Henry's tombstone once set.
Is there any one that can help get this little grave yard back to it's
original state?
I talked with the owner of the "now" property, she said she was busy but
if we can do anything at our end we have her blessings.
Please give us some feed back on what might be done we did talk with
Ruth Kline, she gave us an insert from "The Old York Road" and its Stage
Coach Days, where we learned of Col James Henry's tombstone being
broken.
A Colonel in the Revolution should have a proper burial.
I would like to try to find the part of his tombstone that is gone and
have it re-set.
Michael Henry and Jean are my ancestors. I believe James would be one
of their son's?
Thanks for what ever feedback you can give us.
Sara Lea (Henrie) Heaton
Chad Heaton
The spelling of the Henry name changed to Henrie in the third son
down.
