Hi Brian,

I picked your Charles up in the 1850 census while looking for my own
VanCamp's. I have the following:

1850 Census, Hunterdon County, Alexandria Twp, pg 167, dwlg 525, fam531
Charles Van Camp, age 60
Sarah Larrance VanCamp, 55
Sarah A., 25
Hiram, 17

By 1855, neither Sarah wass not living at home and Sarah Larrance may have
died as there are no females listed as living there. Pg 13 of the
Alexandria Twp 1855 Census - 2 males, 0 females, no children

In 1840, Alexandria Twp, thre is a Charles Van Camp listed that I believe
is yours based on the ages of the household.

1 male 0-5, 1 male 5-10, 1 male 10-15, 1 male 40-50
1 female 15-20, 1 female 20-30

I didn't follow your Charles through the 1860, 1870, 1880 census.

Do you have any VanCamp's (don't have a first name, but he died between
1810-1830) who md Elizabeth 1768-1845
Their children are:
Permelia VanCamp b 1801 d 1838 md Samuel Sinclair b 1791 d 1873
John VanCamp b 1809, d 1882 md Mary Ann b 1814, d 1895
children of John and MaryAnn: Elizabeth b abt 1836, Permelia b abt 1838,
Sarah b abt 1840, Philip b abt 1844, Nancy b abt 1848, Anna b 15 Feb 1848-d
1849

Elizabeth and her son John were living with Samuel Sinclair and wife
Permelia VanCamp in the 1830 census. By 1840, John VanCamp had married,
but Elizabeth was still living with Samuel and Permelia. There appears to
be one other female in the household in 1830, but I do not have a name for
her.

Would really like to find the father of Permelia and John VanCamp, husband
of the above listed Elizabeth. Any information would be great.
