It is possible both John and Alexander were brothers to first Elizabeth born
1735. There was an Eleanor who married Abraham Voorhees August 14 1779, who
could have been another sister, born possibly in 1750s. Elsje Van Cleef's
age, if we only knew it, could rule out both John and Eleanor, but until we do
know it, they remain possible children of William Baird and Elsje Van Cleef.
The only other two Bairds I have are Elsje who married Abraham Van Arsdalen
(he left a will dated April 13 1821); and Elsje who married George Nevius and
had a daughter Catharine born December 12 1803. I don't have other
information on either of these Elsje's, but they would seem to be in the
generation of second Elizabeth born 1762. I will look in my files to see if
there is any more that is not in my database. I am not a Baird descendant,
but a Cruser descendant and so my interest was in first Elizabeth. I may have
other material I've forgotten I had, and I'll give it a look. Doris
