Looking for more info on the parents of William Smith HOUSEL, born 9 March
1816 in Jugtown. His father was Abraham Housel about whom I know nothing
except he apparently was a Hunterdon resident.. His mother was Esther
(Hester) Dow, possibly descended from an English army officer sent to NJ.
The Housels apparently related by place of origin to several other of the
early German families in Hunterdon, as Trimmer & Bellowsfelt.
