Muffy,
I don't have more info on Lydia Hull, but I can offer a reference on
their marriage and the ancestry of her husband, Aaron Longstreet.
Aaron Longstreet, bap. Nov 26, 1710; marr May 6, 1754, Lydia Hull
Reference:"Genealogy of the Family of Longstreet with its Related
Families of..." compiled and written for private information by Edward
Mayes of Jackson, Miss. Published by Tuttle Antiquarian Books, Inc.
Rutland Vermont. (I don't have the copyright date).
A short transcription from Mayes (Longstreet) follows:
____________________________________________________________________
Pages D17-D18
>From the "American Weekly Mercury" of date Feburary 14-21, 1726-7, the
following extract is taken:
"Langstreat, Theophilus --From Shrewsbury in East Jersey, on Saturday,
the last day of December, 1726, Theophilus Longstreat, of Shrewsbury in
the county of Monmouth, aged near sixty years, he met with seven swans
flying over a meadow, who shot down six of them at one shot, such a shot
was never known amongst us."
His will dated December 1, 1739, was probated March 1, 1741; and he
therefore died about the latter date. In that will, he calls himself
"Theophilus", an erroneous interpretation of his proper name of Stoffel,
or Christopher. He signed his name "Stoffel Langstrat." The will of
his wife was dated April 8, 1752, and it was probated, mar. 13, 1753; so
that she must have died about the latter date. These wills name some of
their children, but not all of them. Those children, so far as now
known were as follows:
1. Dirck (Richard), baptized in Brooklyn, April 25, 1697; married a wife
named Jane or Jonica; died Dec 4, 1795. ( A footnote identifies him
referenced in "The Historical Collections of New Jersey", on Page
351..Kildare Twp, Monmouth Co, NJ, April 9, 1778.. Dirrick Longstreet's
property across the river was only property not burnt by the British.)
2. Jane (or Jonica) born about 1698
3. Catherine, born about 1700; married Jan Sutphen, of New Jersey, about
1720
4. Mary (or Maria) baptized May 6, 1702; married first William
Hendrickson of New Jersey; and second, Dirck Sutphen
5. Sarah born about 1705
6. Gisbert (or Gilbert) born about 1707; baptized November 26, 1710;
married Rachel Schenck; died in 1758
7. Aaron, baptized Nov. 26, 1710; married May 6, 1754, Lydia Hull
8. Sottfel, born 14 July 1712; baptized December 25th 1713; married 16th
of December 1743, Abigail Wooley; settled near Allentown, in Upper
Freehold Township, Monmouth Co, NJ; died there August 31 1782.
9. Moica, baptized march 6 1716, supposed to have married Johannes Leek
10. Anna, born about 1718

According to Mayes, the Longstreet line down to Aaron is as
follows:
--Stoffel Langestraet (of Netherlands)
--wife unkown
----Dirck Stoffels Langestraet (emig in 1657 to Flatlands; d aft 1698)
----Catharina Van Lieuwen
------Stoffel Dircksen Langestraet(1666-1740)
------Moica Lanen Van Pelt (dau of Gysbrecht Tuysz Lanen Van Pelt)
--------Aaron Longstreet(1710-)
The Catherine Sutphen noted above and born in 1743 to Dirck(Derick)
Sutphen and Maria Longstreet, is probably the Katrina Sutphin who
married John Wyckoff(1732-1816) abt 1765 and lived in Readington,
Hunterdon Co, New Jersey until her death before 1790. According to "The
Wyckoff Family in America", page 277, the children of John Wyckoff and
Katrina Sutphin are:
Jacob Wyckoff (b 1775)
Altie Wyckoff (b 1778)
Tiney Wyckoff
Polly (Mary) Wyckoff
Gitty Wyckoff
John Wyckoff(1767-1842) mar Jane Barkley in 1789; moved to Blenhiem,
Schoharie Co, New York in 1792; moved to Delhi, Ill in
1838)
Simon J Wyckoff(b 1782)

If anyone has any comment, about this Catherin Sutphen and her husband
John Wyckoff, I would love to hear from you!!!! Thanks.
