Hello Ron,

I have checked on the marriage of Adam Hummer, b. 26 Dec 1781, who marr. 11
Aug 1805 Sarah Wyckoff, but unfortunately the source I have doesn't go into
their children. The source given in the article is the Hunderton County
Deeds, Book 19, p. 80, for this family.

Adam was the eighth child and 4th son of Adam Hummer, b. 1734 probably in
Somerset County NJ, who d. Jan 1788 in Lebanon Twp, Hunterdon Co., NJ. His
wife's name is only known as Elizabeth--.

The earlier Adam was the third son of Harbert Hummer and his wife Anna Eva
Kolsher.

It seems to me a good strategy to pursue this name though; there were plenty
of Elizabeths in the family in general (not that this proves much), and the
Hummers ended up with a great many descendants in NJ as far as I can see.
And the Elizabeth that you found might possibly have married twice.

You might consider getting in touch with the Hunterdon Co. Historical
Society, 114 Main Street, Flemington, NJ 08822, which published this account
in their Newsletter Vol. 11, No. 3, in the fall of 1975, and who have a
little gem of a library.

Good luck,
Mary
