EMERICH/EMERY Jacob Sarah; NJ > NY; 1770-; SCHMIDT/SMITH
Q. Who were the ancestors of Henry and Sarah (EMERICH/EMERY)
SCHMIDT/SMITH?
1. Henry SCHMIDT/SMITH, b. NJ ca. 1772 [7 April 1773?]; d.
Lansing, Tompkins County, NY 1 Oct 1855; m. 18 Dec [1796] to
Sarah EMERICH/EMERY, b. NJ ca. 1777 [15 November 1775?]; d.
Lansing, Tompkins County, NY 9 or 10 August 1865.
It appears probable that Jacob SMITH was Henry's and Sarah's
eldest son; this may be a valuable clue towards finding either one
of their fathers. It should be noted that a John EMERY was b. in
Covert, Seneca County, NY on 1 October 1832 to Jacob and Julia
(COOK) EMERY. Perhaps Jacob EMERY was a brother or other close
kinsman to Sarah (EMERY) SMITH.

family documented above including their ancestors, children, and
grandchildren and the spouses thereof, including the full names of
those spouses' parents. All additions and corrections, however
speculative, will be greatly appreciated.
