Hi all,
I just found this mailing list and hope someone from the area might help me.
My ggg grandfather John Britton Opdyke owned a farm on the road from
everittstown to Frenchtown. I was wondering if anyone could tell me if the old
Opdyke farm still exists?
My ggg grandfather on the other side was Henry Rockafellow who donated the
money for the church to be built in Mount Pleasant. This church is still there
and I am told that his farm was on the road towards Mount Pleasant about 2
miles outside of Milford (Ciuld this be route 519?) Does anyone know if this
old Rockafellow farm still exists. It was in the family for over 100 years but
was sold by Elijah Rockafellow in the late 1800"s to outsiders.
If its not too much to ask I also would like to know if anyone knows anything
about the American Hotel ? I believe this hotel was somewhere in Alexandria
Twp. and was run by my g grandfather Jos. Opdyke.

wouldgladly do a lookup.
