Subject: [NJHUNTER-L] CORBETT/CLOVER; 18th cent

Hi Everyone,
I am new to this list, having just discovered that some elusive
families were in Hunterdon County. I have had a hard time with these folks...
John Peter CLOVER ( -1766/7) and his wife Catherine SHARP/SHARPENSTINE (
-aft 1785) lived in Hunterdon County, perhaps in Lebanon. I believe there
was a place called "Clover Hill": is that in Lebanon, does anyone know? They
had ten children, only three of whom were young enough to require a guardian
in 1767. I am looking for dates of birth & marriage for them, place of
burial, and any hard information about the children.
William CORBETT, (1751 - 1851) was born somewhere in Hunterdon County.married
Sarah Bloom CLOVER (1756-1828) in 1775, perhaps in Bethlehem Twp. They had
thirteen children. I don't know when they moved to Pennsylvania but both are
buried in Seceder Cemetery, Mechanicsville, along with their daughter Anna.
Some of the Clover family may have made the move with them. I am researching
the family and especially their son James CORBETT who married Rebecca
ARMSTRONG. I am looking for any information on the CORBETT children and
their marriages and anything at all about Rebecca ARMSTRONG. Is there an
Armstrong family in Hunterdon in that time period? I have found nothing
about her.
I would be very grateful for any help.
Many thanks,
Muffy Moore
