George,
I picked up your address on the NJHUNTER-L list. You stated you where looking
for documentation on the Willet family in Hunterdon, Co. in 1750. I'm also
working on the Willet family of N.J. This is not a direct line for me but I'm
very interested in this family. My mother always talked about the Willets.
Here is what I have, and I would appreciate any help you might be able to
give me on this family. The first Willet I have is William Willet b. 1810 and
married a Mary ? b abt 1812. Their son John Willet b. 1828 in Knowltown, and
married Elizabeth Ann Crigar, daughter of Adam Crigar b. 1804 & Mary Ann ?
b. 1807. John Willet and Elizabeth Ann Crigar married on Oct. 13 1856 in
Oxford, N.J. Their son Edward Willet b. 1860 in Oxford married Anna
Elizabeth Creveling b. Nov. 8 1862 Port Halafax, Broadway, N.J. They had two
daughters, Elizabeth & Minnie that I know of. I'm still working on Edward. I
believe he had son's, as I remember my mother telling me somewhere along the
line the Willets owned a store in Trenton in the early 1900's.
