Hunterdon is one of the 21 counties of New Jersey. It is bordered by
Warren County, Somerset County, Mercer County, Morris County, and the
Delaware River. The County Seat is Flemington, NJ which is at the
intersection of Routes 31 and Route 202.

Today, Amwell is divided into two townships, East Amwell and West
Amwell. They are in the southern part of the county. South of
Flemington and east of Lambertville.

I'd suggest that you get a map of the county to locate areas you are
looking for.

The Hunterdon County Historical Society is only open on Thursdays, 1-3pm
and 7-9pm. It is located at 114 Main Street, Flemington.

PS. Schooley Mountain is right on the Northern border of Hunterdon
County with Morris County.
