My husband and I had the opportunity to visit the Hunterdon County Library in
Flemington on Thursday last. It was a delightful. We were welcomed by one of
the volunteers, asked how they could help, introduced to their rules which
were a little overprotective I suppose but not to difficult. Someone helped
us with what we needed. We were asked if it was the correct information--a
good experience. The only difficult thing was that they would not make copies
for us. We had to pay and then wait till they are mailed. The copier was not
assessable. And the copies were far too expensive. 25 cents. I think we
should chip in for a new copier if that's their problem.
Some of the materials I looked at needed new copies. I would be pleased to
help recopy some of the material for them -- but they didn't look too
interested.
But all in all it was a good visit. I didn't find the people anywhere near
what they were portrayed on this site. Perhaps they have cleaned up their
act.
