"On 5 July 1811, Jacob Bunn petitioned for an inquisition to be held into
the lunacy of his brother, Philip Bunn of Alexandria Twsp. Supporting
affidavits were given by Philip Slout and Matthias Metler, both of sd.
twsp. An inquisition was taken at the house of Joseph King, inn keeper, in
sd. twsp. on 27 July 1811 before William McGill, John E. Forman, and John
McCCloughan, Esquires, Commissioners. The jurors were Jacob Housel, James
Dalrymple/Derumple, John Bellis, Samuel Williamson, Cornelius
Tomson/Thompson, Joseph Dalrymple/Derumple, Jonathan Furman, John Sinclair,
John Mettler, Sr., Cornelius Vorhis/Voorhees, Dvid Everitt, James
Larason/Larrison, Peter Lennare/Leonard, Lewis Sutphin, Abrahma Pittinger,
Elijah Hartpence, John Vanderbelt, John Slout/Slought, William Bilby, and
Nicholas Pickel/Pickle. James Metlar/Mettler was called but did not sign.
It was found that Philip was entitled to two equal and undivided thirteenth
parts of a tract in sd. twsp. containing 830 acres of yearly value of
$51.28 which descended to him as one of the children of Jacob Bunn, late of
Alexandria Twsp., dec'd. The nearest heirs of said lunatic were the
children of Betsy Seigler (ages and names unknown); John Bunn (age 38);
Henry Bunn (a.36); Rosina Rope (a. 34); Jacob Bunn (a. 32); Mary Bunn (a.
30), and William Bunn (a.24). On 7 August 1911 Jacob Bunn was appointed
guardian; sureties were David Everitt and Samuel Case. Accounts cover the
period of 1835-1837. (File #185)."

There are lots of Apgars in this book...no Rebecca....any other Apgar of
interest?
