With regard to Wertsville cemeteries inquired by Jim LaRue, Snell lists two
older cemeteries. First is the cemetery of the Werts' Corner Baptist Church
founded in 1834, and the second one is the family burying ground of the
Manners and Stout families about 1 mile east of Wertsville. Which one did
you visit? What names were you seeking? Most of the small family cemeteries
have their tombstone inscriptions listed in the Hunterdon Historical
Newsletter. Give me a name and I'll check for you.
