I have been looking for the parents of Abraham LAKE for about 25 years
with little success. Abraham was born in Hunterdon Co in 1796 and married
Susan GARRISON (daughter of James & Dinah ROBINS) in about 1818 in
Hunterdon Co. In a short bio in a Pennsylvania genealogy book (Abraham
and his family moved to Susquehanna Co, Pa in about 1855) one of Abraham's
sons says his grandfather was John LAKE from Hunterdon County, NJ. I
gotta believe he knows what he was talking about, however I have never
found one other shred of evidence to coorborate John LAKE being Abraham's
father. Also, I have never found anything out about any possible siblings
of Abraham. I'm thinking that if I can identify siblings of Abraham then
maybe that will help me go back another generation.

The following is a list of LAKEs, their spouses, and marriage dates from
Hunterdon Co. These dates and names make it possible that any of them are
siblings of my Abraham. Does anyone here know the parents of any of these
LAKEs?

Lake, John and Anna Dilts, November 23, 1802
Lake, Mary and John Lerew, August 13, 1803
Lake, Mary and Thos. Powell, Jan. 10, 1805
Lake, Mary and Abel Thatcher, January 10, 1805
Lake, Rachel and John Reede, June 1, 1812
Lake, William and Mary Rounsavell, July 25, 1807

If anyone has any other ideas to help me to find the parents of Abraham
LAKE I'm all ears.
