Thanks to Geoffrey Cooper who did some searching for me, I was able to
extend my (needle-in-a-haystack) SMITH family back one more generation.

So, here goes another posting in case this may link in with someone's
known family:

Looking for any reference to Joseph P. Smith.

Nathan D. SMITH was born in Hunterdon County 8 Feb 1835. He was a
shoemaker in Frenchtown and lived also in Bethlehem Twp and Pittstown.
He died 30 Jan 1914.

His father's name: Joseph P. SMITH, b. abt 1800?
His mother's name: Susan ?
Both born in NJ, probably Hunterdon Co.
