Milford Union Cemetery, Milford, NJ for Marilyn:
This cemetery is on the corner of Rt. 519 and Milford-Frenchtown Road. I
live in Milford. Would you like me to look up a tombstone inscription for
you? The old Methodist cemetery and the old Presbyterian cemetery in
Milford joined together and formed an incorporated cemetery not affiliated
with any religious organizations in Milford. The United Christian Church
kept their own churchyard, but the Presbyterian and Methodist graves were
moved to the Milford Union Cemetery in 1858.

PS There are several other Union Cemeteries in Hunterdon County that I know
about. One is in Lebanon Borough next to the Methodist Church; another is
in Clinton next to Spruce Run Reservoir and next to Immaculate Conception
Cemetery; a third is in East Amwell on Boss Road about 1 mile west of
Ringoes; fourth is the Union Cemetery in Grandin next to the Bethlehem
Presbyterian Churchyard on Race St. The correct name for the one in Milford
is Milford Union Cemetery.
