Hi Everyone!
Yesterday I was the Borders bookstore at the mall and
came across a series of paperback books that might
interest some of you. They are called "Images of
America" and each contains old photos etc of one town.
Some of the ones at the Borders in Paramus NJ were
Hopatcong, Parsippany, Newton, Freehold, Elizabeth,
Blairstown. There were more but I can't remember all
the titles. They are published by Arcadia Press of
Dover, NH. The ones I looked at had a lot of good
photos of old houses and landmarks, most of which came
from the local historical societies. It also included
a brief town history as well as stories and pictures
if available of some of the important families in the
town.
I am going to try to get a complete listing of the
books for NJ towns, if anyone is interested.
