Subject: [NJHUNTER] German church in Alexandria TWP
Date: Fri, 20 Aug 1999 19:35:06 EDT

In the book "Early Germans Of New Jersey" the was a mention of a German
reformed Church in Alexandria TWP. They gave a list of some names:

Horn , Huner, SChlaut, Casper, Hollenberger, Fishbach, Bitzer, Schmid, Bloom,
Morkel< Young, Eberts, Loesch, Apgar, Alpock, Enders, Rockfellar, Henn,
Metler, Lampen, Case, Dilts, Balenheimer, Reinschmidt, Otto, Bolsin, Klein,
Scneider, Wager, Kuhl, Geist, Alsentz, Soloman, Schrei, Zingler, Patenheimer,
Rimer , and others.

My question is did this group stay together when the reformed church went out
of existence? Is there evidence that some of these people left NJ and
traveled together WEST? How can I find out the "others" in the group?

Is Alexandria TWP near Phillipsburg, NJ?

Is anyone working on any of these names that might be able to give me a hint.
I would love to find out when these Palatinates came to the area.
Any lead will be appreciated. Thanks Sandy
